Our peel & stick 3D wall decor includes some of the most creative products we've introduced so far! Our new foam tiles combine a thin layer of foam with a special adhesive that allows them to stick firmly to any wall or smooth surface but ensures that they won't leave behind a sticky residue or damage the paint when removed. Each tile is thin and flexible enough to allow them to be cut into custom shapes, which means you can create your very own one-of-a-kind 3D wall accents with just a few tiles and a pair of scissors! Here's a fast and easy how-to for using RoomMates foam tiles to bring color and interest into any space.
What you’ll need:
- One or more packages of RoomMates foam tiles
- An empty wall or other smooth surface
- Ruler or measuring tape (optional)
- Pencil (optional)
- Scissors (optional)
Jazz up your home decor in seconds with our peel & stick foam tiles. Application is easy: simply remove the backing and press each tile to the wall, then repeat the process. Use tiles to create a fun backsplash in a kitchen, or as individual pieces of home decor in your hallway, living area, bedroom, and more. RoomMates foam tiles are a quick and easy way to add 3D decor to any room of the home!

How to create this design:
1. Clean your wall or surface
Make sure your wall or intended surface is free of dirt and dust by cleaning it with a soft cloth.
Foam tiles work best on completely smooth, flat, and painted walls. However, they can also be applied to doors, windows, furniture, etc. Make sure your surface is completely clean before proceeding: dirt or dust can cause the adhesive to fail.
2. Optional: cut the tiles
Foam tiles can be cut into different shapes—simply use a pair of scissors to cut the tile as you wish.
Don't remove the backing before you cut the tile! If you want to be sure that your shape looks good, you can cut a stencil out of paper, or lightly trace your intended design on the backing with a pencil.
3. Remove the backing
Remove the protective backing from your first foam tile or custom shape. This will expose the adhesive.
If you're applying multiple tiles at once, only remove one piece of backing at a time. The last thing you want to do is accidentally stick your tiles together!
4. Apply the first tile
Apply your first foam tile to the wall. Foam tiles are not repositionable, so be sure that you've found your desired placement before application!
You may want to use a ruler or measuring tape and a pencil to lightly mark out the wall where you would like your tiles or custom shapes to be applied.
5. Finish your application
Once your first foam tile is applied, repeat steps 3 and 4 with your additional tiles or shapes.
Get creative with your arrangement! Position tiles in a block or line, or spread them out as you please. Combine big and small shapes, like the dots shown above, to create visual interest on your walls. Don't be afraid to have fun!
We think this is a fun and inexpensive way to add three-dimensional wall decor to any space. Even without cutting them into custom shapes, we think the possibilities for our foam tiles are endless! Use them as a fun kitchen backsplash, or create a 3D border with them. Try sticking them to walls, windows, doors, laptops, desks, furniture... use your imagination! If you come up with an especially creative idea, be sure to send us your pictures—we want to see what you did!
